Wed. Sep 17th 2008 Jarrod sent me pics of the truck fire with magnesium. It is hard to put out. When I trained for each deployment on an aircraft carrier we had to put out a magnesium flare. Tough. Glad to see he is learning the ropes. One Question, where is elmo? Ask "Moose" to tell you about the armadillo I had in Guam.Be safe and God bless. - Capt. Rick Eason

I have finally made it through my first year and am no longer the rookie(not that it was a bad thing). I am proud to go to work every third day and do the best job I can for the city of Bryant. I couldn't dream of a better group of guys to work with. Thank you Capt. Eason for your comments. I have a swollen sense of pride to hear good stuff about us from someone I don't even know. Sat. Jul 5th 2008 I have seen Jarrod attempting to crawl over the rails in just this manner, but it was about 25 years ago. It's about time he learns how and why to do it correctly! You guys are all heroes to me. Though I'm not a firefighter, through my military career and the same kind of giving back to the community that you do, I feel as though we are linked and are brothers in arms. I salute you as well. - Captain Rick Eason, U.S.Navy (retired)

Mon. May 5th 2008 It's a great day to serve and protect this fine city. I waited 22 years to find a place to "fit in" and I have found it in BFD. EVERYONE here is great, from Chief Cox all the way down to the greenest "Rookie". I have no reason to believe that we can't get through all this. My heart is in the fire service and here is where I chose to serve. It's time to take everything with a grain of salt and continue to grow as the FAMILY we are. LET'S ROLL!!! - justin

Thu. Apr 24th 2008 I just wanted to say that you have a great looking site here. You have a great medium to interact with the citizens of Bryant and let them in on some of the goings on and what tou do for the city.
However, I can't pass up responding to Mr. Halloway's comments regarding the union n Bryant. First of all, it is not fair to say that all the problems within your department started with the formation of a union. From all I've seen it looks like the are problems that have been around for a while and are coming to a head because firefighters feel they have a voice they did not have before.
Second, the city didn't allow a union to be formed, the Bill of Rights of our Constitution allows for this. To attempt to block the formation of a union would be to deny the same rights granted to you to make rediculous comments on the internet.
As a member of nonrecognized firefighter union I can understand the barriers these men and women are facing. I do hope that you can get through this n a swift and agreeable manner for the sake of your city. - Jim McCarty

Sat. Apr 19th 2008 Welcome Back, Chief Randy Cox, Welcome Back! Now, that the City of Bryant Councilman and Mayor declared this all over, according to Thursday Benton Courier. Now that it is all over, now it is time to get back down to business. I have always and will continue support you as chief of the Bryant Fire Department. keep up all the great work and job that you do.
I feel that it was a great mistake letting the "union" come into a city department. I feel this is where all the problems started when the "union" was started. City of Bryant is NO place for any unions.
Thanks, - Reese Holloway
